The gateway to tourism in Fujiyoshida and the surrounding area
Fujisan Station (Mt. Fuji Station) on the Fujikyuko Line is a hub for Mt. Fuji sightseeing. A large red torii gate stands at the entrance and Mt. Fuji can be seen looming in the backdrop. The station doubles as a shopping center with 4 floors of shops and an observation deck on the 6th floor. The gift area on the ground floor offers a large selection of Mt. Fuji-themed souvenirs and local goods from sweets to textiles. A short walk away from the station is the Oshimachi Area leading up toward Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Jinja Shrine.
