A celebration of the city flower in full bloom
The Fujizakura Festival is held from late April to early May every year, at two venues: the Nakanochaya teahouse at the base entrance to the Yoshida Trail and Fujisan Museum.
"Fujizakura" is the official flower of Yamanashi Prefecture and Fujiyoshida City. The Nakanochaya area has a grove of about 20,000 Fujizakura trees, the largest of its type in the prefecture. It was designated as a national natural treasure.
