A festival to enjoy the leading views of Japan
【CANCELED in 2020】
Fujiyoshida City in Yamanashi Prefecture is situated at the base of Mt. Fuji, at the altitude between app. 650m and 850m, as the northern entrance to the mountain. The sacred mountain can be seen at close anywhere in the city. At "Arakurayama Sengen Park (Chureito Pagoda)", the most popular Mt. Fuji viewing spots in the Fuji Five Lakes area, the magnificent scenery fascinates the visitors from around the country and the world. Especially in spring, many visitors come to this spot to photograph symbolic Japanese sceneries−cherry blossoms, Mt. Fuji and the pagoda−all at once.
As about 650 plants of someiyoshino (prunus yedoensis) come into full bloom in cherry pink, "Arakurayama Sengen Park Cherry Blossom Festival" is hosted by the city. The event has stage shows and many stalls selling local delicacies to entertain the visitors in spring. We will be waiting for you in the season of cherry blossoms. ※For details visit our website. https://www.arakurayama-sakura.com
