The starting point of the Mt. Fuji Trail at an altitude of 1,450 m
Umagaeshi (meaning returning horses) point at the altitude of 1450m in Mt. Fuji used to have four mountain lodges where climbers return horses home and start climbing on foot, and was a popular spot for the climbers. At present, it is known to many climbers as a base of "Yoshidaguchi Trail", one of the Mt. Fuji World Heritage Site Assets. The "Umagaeshi Rest Area" in Mt. Fuji is a relaxing place for the climbers where Fujiyoshida people volunteer services for them during the summer. The place was opened to "revive" historical huts, Daimonjiya and Meidai Sanso, for many visitors to experience Fujiyoshida City's historical culture of walk-climbing, and to enjoy the natural environment.
Mt. Fuji's spring water and cold barley tea are offered here, with the information of Mt. Fuji and Fujiyoshida City.
