Annual Yabusame (Horseback Archery) Festival

流鏑馬祭り例祭

A historic horseback archery and fortune-telling festival

An autumnal festival held in Omuro Sengen Shrine in the Shimoyoshida neighborhood.

The festival features archers on horseback performing the age old ritual of "Yabusame" followed by a unique form of horse track fortune-telling. Though it is a departure from the spectacle of a typical Yabusame festival, it carries a lot of local significance and is certainly worth seeing.
